Let me update...
Last week, I took Infopass appointment at local Service Center (Columbus, Ohio) & was checking status of my case. IO officer was very gentle & courtious...IO officer told me about my FP, Name check etc but when I asked regarding I-485 cases about my kids & wife, he asked me whether they are with me? As I was aware of this catch, I called my wife & kids from waiting area and then IO officer told us everyting about our cases - my wife & kids.

I asked him as my PD & RD is current, when can I expect approval?.. My PD is Jan 2003 & RD Oct 2003.

He told me that NSC is heavily back logged & NSC is processing cases having PD in 2002 & begining of 2003 and RD in June 2003. As my RD is Oct 2003, he told me that I have to wait for next 3-4 months...

Hope this helps..

Hopefully, it wouldn't take 3-4 months. I did see some cases with PD : Jan 2003 getting approved earlier this week. You may get it before then.

Good Luck!

That goes to prove , preadjudication was all non-sense and they will review the all the cases again.Preadjudication was just to weed out applications which are no longer relevant, especially for people who have abandoned the process.

i dont think they are following any order of dates, i checked with the immigration officer with infopass appointment all the checks are cleared. The officer says its wainting review

---------------
ND: JUN-2002
RD JAN-03
Center: NSC

I thought they are supposed to go by PD not RD. PD is when you first started your application. Some people's labor took longer so it's more fair to go by PD instead of RD.

Thanks for the info, GCDumbo. Not sure how far this statement is true. There are many cases with EB3 PDs in 2004 & 2005 were approved. Obviously with such PDs, it cannot have receipt date before 2003.

Wish NSC start doing some work.

You are right and its fair. In addition, this same PD should be counted against 5 year residency requirement for CITIZENSHIP too. There are people who got GC in less than 6 months or 1 year by illegally paying for substitute labor. but there are millions waiting patiently in line for atleast half decades.

But my understanding is USCIS service centers care about RD (PD only matters to mark it as current or NOT).

Thats what I got to know from Local IO...

Main concern of ALL of US is that when people are approved by USCIS by "cutting" the PD line... and when guys like me are told that USCIS is processing by PD & RD...

They have to consider both PD & RD. Someone who files labor in 2001 and got current date now and if they file 485 , NSC doesn't need to approve on the spot because it has PD of 2001. they have to consider RD also. but who am i to tell them to do things?
