NSC--I-485 EB / EAD Issue

Guys,

I filed my EAD in NSC but they sent it to MSC (Missuori Service Center which is national benefits center NBC) and MSC approved and sent my EAD card with error, it is their mistake anyhow.

I called USCIS and they asked me to file new I-765 application and will send the corrected card after checking the documents.

1. one representative told me that they will waive fees if it is their mistake but another one asked me to send the supporting documents and they will check and will ask you for fees if it is your mistake otherwise wont. confused, anyone has similar experiences? but i told them that while filiing for new EAD they will ask for filing fees, so how come i shouldnt send check, she said no need?

2. where to file new application? NSC or MSC? one representative said to the service center where I-485 is pending which is NSC but another one said they transferred this EAD to MSC and they approved so send it there...

3. During my EAD renewal process (which is my 4th EAD) Not sure why they asked me to go local office for photo and FP this time for EB based EAD renewal, for last 3 EADs I never did photo/FP but did only FP for I-485 but never for EAD (I-765 for EB). Also the previous FP did 6 months ago for I-485 but this one, biometrics notice says for I-765.

Is it normal for Employment based I-765 to get FP?
Did anyone got biometrics taken for EB based EAD for renewal NOT for the first time? I thought only the family based employment petitoner have to do this not EB based.

4. my friend who applied at the same time as mine but NSC didnt ask for his FP so his EAD card didnt have his FP but my EAD card has FP which they took and the photo which they took, so they told me that EAD cards are now different. Is it true? whether everyone is taking biometrics and FP is shown in EAD?

5. Did any of your cases transferred to MSC from NSC for EAD renewal (EB based AOS pending in NSC)?

hi arnet,

i filed my EAD online to NSC (where my AOS is pending) but was transferred to MSC too. I just got a notice for FP recently and I wonder after how long you got your EAD (though with error, i'm sorry to hear that).

you might want to check out the uscis website under "what's new" - it tells about the new guidelines for EADs..

emcuse, Is your pending AOS in NSC is Employment based or Family Based?

ND: 07/31; FP:3rd wk of August; AD: 10/18; EAD Card Received: 10/20

took 2 and half mths for the entire process to get EAD card.

my pending AOS at NSC is employment based, huband is the principal, concurrently filed last week of august. but my EAD was filed separately online Oct 11, to NSC, FP notice arrived Oct 21, appointment on Nov 1. so you got your EAD around two months after the FP? gee... thanks a lot!
