Folks:

Me and my husband are about to file for 140 and 485 concurrently in Nebraska Svc Center

Our lawyer tells us that they will file 485 once the 140 receipt notice is received.

Is it better to do it that way (or) send the forms for 140 and 485 all at once ?

Let me know if there will be any problems filing 485 after getting the 140 Receipt ( for some reason they prefer doing this !! ).

Thanks for your valuable inputs.
Max :)

Concurrent is better

My lawyer did the same thing - applied my 485 after receiving the 140 receipt. He felt it was the better way. I did not have any problem becoz, I needed some time to fill-in all my details for the 485.

But looking into the forums now, and from our friends, I knew, filing concurrently is better than semi-concurrent. Somebody in the forums mentioned that concurrent filers will get the 140 approval quicker than others, which I am not sure of.

I feel concurrent filing saves time getting the EAD and AP.
