Ask your lawyer to call the Service center. Mine got approved just after 4 days of the lawyer\'s call.

Have you heard the AVM telephone message changed to \'case approved for you\' or the NSC voice system still repeats the old message ?

My lawyer called NSC on July 2nd and was asked to check back next week. I just hope it should not take much long now they have started to process such cases.

I was told by my attorney, that for the time spent outside US during H-1 6 years you can certainly extend your H-1 status provided you are able to present documented proof for the stay abroad like tickets, credit card receipts etc.

About the medical leave part I am not so sure how that will figure out and you should definitely consult with your attorney. To best of my knowledge any time spent outside US can be extended.

7th year H-1 extension finally Approved !

Just heard on the AVS, which said my case is approved and approval notice will be mailed soon. Here are my case particulars:

RD: 12/20/2000 @ NSC
RFE : Feb 9th, Replied Feb 20th, RFE received March 10th
AD : July 7
