What is an approval notice for EAD? I only received the card.
Do you get any notice like 'Notice of Action' that says it is
approved?Is that sent to you or your attorney?
We received EAD cards in Mid-Dec'02.

I don't think you'll ever need it as long as you have the EAD card in hand.

I think approval notice is needed for EAD renewal.

Approval notice comes with the EAD card. It is the paper in which your name and address is printed and the EAD card is lodged. There is no separate approval notice. In my case the online message still says that after approval they ordered me a new card and they will mail me the card as soon as it is ready. However, I got the card in hand about a month ago. So there is no consistency as to what the online message says and if it will change from there. As soon as you see one of those two messages, you will know that the card has been approved and it is on its way. My HR department had no problem in letting me continue to work as soon as I pointed them to the online approval notice. I completed the I-9 when I got the physical card in hand.

also has a note on it 'Submit this for renewal .....'.
