My RD is dated back in nov 2001,Iam still waiting for approval no rfe no re finger printing nothing.Iam surprised to see jan & feb cases getiing approved ...can't we do anything to bring the back logs of earlier months to BCIS notice. My case is already pending for more than 18 months.online status show that received fp will mail u once decision is made..........do I need to take any steps in this reg,suggetions r greatly appreciated

you should send in a written query requesting a status update and a request to expedite the processing since 18 mnths have long gone. It is possible that your file is misplaced. At least it may raise a red flag...just a thought..
 
what doesrequest to expidate the process mean?
do u think file can be misplaced when u have online status that we got ur finger printing we will mail u once decision is made

It is of no use of calling NCS 800 number to get the status. All you get is "485 pending " letter from local BCIS office. It sucks...:confused:

why i suggested a written request..avoid the 1-800 number...and yes files have got misplaced..so it may be in your best interest to write to them..it can't hurt
 
thanks insfiles I will draft a letter soon to bcis ,do have any idea abt the response time of bcis ?

i don't know about the response time..but last week i sent a query on monday to bcis as my family had all got approved on june 2 except for my spouse...and lo and behold on friday june 20th my spouse got approved!!...
so u never know!!:)
 
That’s not working for me

we filed I485 together in Nov 2001. I got approved on June 3 and my spouse’s case(EAC-02-055) is still pending. I sent a query to VSC two weeks ago(on June 10) and haven’t got any response until now.
INSfiles, You are lucky one.
 
I also have a Nov 2001 RD.
No changes on my online status since 05/2002 (FP received).
This never ending wait is so frustrating...
 
Same here too....EAC-02-063-51XXX, its been nearly 19 months now for me. No RFE, no action...fingerprints recieved on....blah! blah!.
 
I inquired to several immigration offices why some Nov files has not been touched at all. But nobody answered me clearly, but just heard from them "be patient for a while".
I'm worry our unlucky Nov. files are deep in the blackhole and fogotten eventually.
