Nov 2003 - 485 filers

I agree with MI2_Chimera , it looks like the number has drastically decreased.
I started a thread 2 months back for pending Nov 2003 cases and there were so many people.
May be we should open one for 2003 in general.

Do you know when you sercurity checks were initiated? When did you know about them being in the pending state?
 
FOIPA response

Received FOIPA response from MR.Hardy when I requested the same for couple of weeks back...the response is
"A Search of the automated indices to our central recors system files at FBI headquarters lcated no records responsive to your FOIPA request". On April 21st, 2005 , FBI said that my name check process was done..But still waiting..

Contacted VSC in first week of June, 2005. Got response from rep, that they will review the case and respond in 30days.

Waiting For I-485 Approval.

Please post all your info,LUDs,actions,approvals etc., those who are in this thread with Nov-2003 as receipt date.

You are welcome Club-4.. My attorney too initiated status inquiry sometime in first week of June.. got the same standard msg that they will notify within 30 days..

I140 / 485 - Nov 10, 2003

My case is stuck in security check too...recently my lawyer informed me that my wife's security check has gone thru....so the whole boat is now waiting on my security check... doesn't look like anything would be happening soon...
 
Frustrating!

I am in the exact same boat. Took infopass and went to local office to inquire about the status. Th eofficer was also surprised that the case was not resolved yet and asked if I got a letter for an interview at the local office. I told him have received no such letter. On my request, he checked the name check info on file. Apparently, my wife's name check cleared in 2003 and USCIS sent mine to FBI in Jan '05 and was awaiting response. Called the FBI status line and was told to send an email and the lasdy informed me that the agency (USCIS) needs to send a expedite request, we cannot request it personally. I have not filed a FOIA request nor written to my senator.

Will contacting asenator/congressman help expedite the name check at all??

Hi All,

I got 6 emails this morning around 9:45 AM saying that all our 485 were approved. My attorney initiated inquiry on 3/10/2005.Thanks to Rajiv Kanna, all other members on this forum and their valuable information. I wish you all for speedy approval for those of you still pending.

I'm EB2. Both 140 and 485 receipt date in Oct.2003. Still not approved. pending cos of FBI security check...

I am also there in the list, 485 filling date is Nov 7 2003. FP done. I-140 approved. No progress. How to contact FBI? what is FOIA? How to initiate that?
