Both me and my wife approved on May 8th.
EAC02-057-XXXXX

RD - Nov15, 2001
ND - Dec 7, 2001
FP - April 18th, 2002
AP - May 8th, 2003

No RFE and I never called IIO.

For those who want to change jobs while 485 is pending this might help:

* I changed my job after 185 days of RD for I-485
* My new employer's attorney sent a letter to INS advising them of the job change, new salary (higher than labor cert) and a description of job duties (similar to labor).

Other notes, as I saw some persons have questions regarding these:

1) Birth certificate - per my lawyer, the birth certificate issued by Indian consulate is not recognized by INS. You need to submit a certificate of non-availability from the local municipality of your home town and 3 affidavits from close relatives. If somebody has been approved on the basis of Indian consulate's certificate, then it is pure luck.

2) Marriage Certificate - I did not have a marriage certificate from the civil authorities in India. I submitted three affidavits from people who attended the wedding.

Good luck to all who are waiting.

If anybody can post details of the passport stamping at Newark, it will help.

Stamping at Newark

Congratulations...

Stamping in Newark:

You can go anytime between 8 to 12
The entrance is backside of the building. (assuming front side to be on Broad Street)
At the entrance you will be given a Ticket Number and probably you will be asked to go on 10th Fl. (Room 1022)

They will call you based on Ticket number (3 time)

1. To sign and fingerprint the Form
2. To submit all the papers
3. To stamp your passport.

You should take the following papers with you:

2 ADIT Photo
EAD (if you have)
Passport
Advance Parole (if you have)
I-94

It takes 2-3 hours to get Passport Stamped.

Congrats and wish u all the best.

Nice to know AC21 case getting approved. My case is similar to yours.:)

Hi WhiteHatHacker

Congratulations.

Thanks for ur info.
Did you change the job in same state or different?
Can you give the detail of letters sent by ur attorney about the job change info?

delhiwala:

I do not have the copy of the letter for job change that the attorney sent to INS. But he did ask me to list out my job duties which I did by copying all the skills mentioned in the labor cert and added a few additional responsibilities. My salary for the new job is about 50% more than mentioned in the labor cert, though based on the posts in this forum it does not matter even if it is slightly less.

My labor was filed from PA, though I have always worked in the NJ branch of the original sponsoring employer. My new job is also in NJ.

I will try to get a copy of the letter and will post details, if they give it to me.

Thanks for the NWK stamping info.
