Received intent to denial letter in September.
Attorney responded in September,01; voice message never updated to receiving information.
Talked to a very nice IIO and she told me to send again attention to her.
Send again Nov. 29,01.
Voice message updated to received info on Dec. 5,01
Got approved today, Dec. 10, 01.

Sorry for the late reply. I was busy enjoying the happiness of knowing case was approved.

To answer your question:
I held J-2 when I was working several years back. INS wanted to see the copies for my EADs during that period of time. When I filed my 485 application, my attorney included those copies. We don\'t know why they didn\'t see it. So I mailed them those EAD copies. The intent to deny is very intimidating at first. But you don\'t need to worry much if you didn\'t have anything illegal. It just delayed my case for three months. The lesson I learned is you have to be proactive. You can\'t only depend on attorneys.
