Notifying Employer About G.c.

Folks, I have a simple question. I wonder which way is better to notify employer (small firm with 18 staff) about the g.c. approval:
        1/ mention it orally to employer, or
        2/ give employer a photocopy of approval notice, or
        3/ give employer a photocopy of the stamp on passport
Ins officer mentioned that I should give a copy of stamp to employer during the time passport was stamped. But I intend to release my personal
information to employer as less as possible. Please help.

What if they do not aware of

Since I-485 filed by lawyer hired by myself, employer basicly lost sight of my g.c.application status since I-140\'s approval(I hired a different lawyer for I-140). Currently they do not even know what is going on about my g.c.. Probabaly they never heard of I-9 before.
Then should I voulentially mention I-9 to them? Still, which way is better?

I notified my employer verbally, in writing and filled in a new I9 and put it on their desk.
