notification to take IELTS - where do I stand?

Hi all - I have an AOR of March 06 and yesterday I received a letter suggesting I either take the IELTS within 120 days to claim what I did (16 points) or they will go ahead and make their own judgement...this is all fine but my question is based on this response, does this give an indication where exactly my case/file stands? I mean am I halfway through, or has the process just begun?
 
I dont think anyone can say for sure where u stand in the process. I assume, an office might have got ur file and he concluded that in order to give you 16 points, u need to show IELTS records. probably in 120 days, they will look in to ur file again and make a decision on ur IA. I would suggest, you go ahead and take the xam and send it as soon as possible. Normally people get their IA in 1 year and you should be getting that way too...
