I just happened to see my online status and ironically it got changed to following. :)) seems like a good news but can't quite figure out how many more days it would take before I get my card into my hand.

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On November 6, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Never remember seesing this msg. before for anyone in this forum....I could be wrong. ....

So what does this msg. means? What is that I need to do once I receive that notice?

Saw your signature and it seems you got the same Welcome mail on Oct. 18th and card in hand on Oct 19th.......way to go man.

I am just waiting to take off my immigration hat that I have been putting on for last 11 and half years....... ever since I left the country.........it's LONG....LONG journey for me. I need break........Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yes, it is the approval notice, some people may get "approval notice sent" first then this message. Now wait for the "card production ordered" message and you will be all set.

A few people receive a FP notice after the welcome letter, if USCIS lost your digital photo for example. You will be all set only after you've received the physical card - but there is nothing to worry about now.
