Hello,

I applied for 485 Mar 26th. My lawyer received a notice last Monday but I haven\'t received any. Do I also receive a notice or is it sent only to the lawyer. Secondly, between 140 and 485 I moved to a different apartment. I did mention the new address on 485. Do you guys think that, that may have resulted in my not receiving the notice.
Thanks

Hello,
How do you expect anybody to help your issues if your are posting incomplete info to others. You sound totally dis-organised. My comments inline----->

hello,

If I assume that you filed your I485 on 26th March 2001; (1) probably your attorney recd the receipt notice. (2) If that is correct - no you wouldn\'t receive a copy of it. (3) The address you gave for I140 is for that (actually I140 is employer related) and as you gave your new address for I485 all correspondence addressed to you (not your attorney) now onwards, would reach you at your new address - you don\'t need to worry.

But if my first line is wrong or if the notice is for something else!!! What Bondedslave said is very true... please be specific on what you tell others while seeking any help or while sharing information - it helps others to help you better (also makes your life happy in general :)

Whatever, get ask your attorney what the notice is.

Best of luck.

Thanks Gist and BondedSlave. Well, Gist your first assumption was good and I appreciate you taking time to explain.

I kinda of thought it was obvious from the date that I recently applied BondedSlave. Thanks for the insight though.
