Notarized copies of emp letter etc.

Hi All,

I am a new member. I recently obtained (on July 16) my case number from the Mumbai consulate and am a candidate for Sept/Oct interview.

It would be very helpful if you'all could tell me about

1. documents that need to be notarized. Do the lawyers have the authority to notarize it or do i have to use a third party.

2. earlier in June, I emailed the consulate in Mumbai and they informed me that I should get a PCC from the nearest indian embassy as well a police certificate from the local police station under which my address in India falls. Does anybody here have an idea about the format of that letter?

There are licensed Notory, who are authorized to sign. Similar to those in India. There must be in your company or bank. They will do for free. Otherwise you will find in MAIL BOX Etc. or search in yellow pages. They will generally charge $5 per document.

You will need to notorize the employment letter puls I-134 (if there is any dependent immigrating with you).

Local PCC is not required if you are corrently living in US. If you had asked that question few months back then there was some confusion in Mumbai consulate, later they clarified. May like to send an email again with case#.

Format for local PCC (in case):
This is to certify that Mr/Ms xyz was resident of abc cithy at 123 address from mm/dd/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy.
Till date there is no adverse record againt Mr/Ms xyz in our record.

Suptd. Of Police

"Generally you have to apply with two copy of photo & some additional proof of your residence. There is some fee in some states."

We wish to reaffirm the contents of our job offer contained on form I-140 of the approved Immigrant Petition filed by Comapny name Inc. on behalf of Mr/Ms xyz.

Our offer to employ Mr/Ms xyz as a full-time, permanent employee as POSITION NAME is a continuing offer, requiring only your approval. Mr/Ms xyz is considered qualified for this position by virtue of his prior work experience and educational background.

We respectfully request you to grant him approval of permanent residence so he can continue with his employment with us on a permanent basis. Please feel free to contact us at the number mentioned in this letter.
