I have another friend who has won GC and is caught in a sad situation.
he was the principal winner and his wife was included in application.

after CP the embassy told to wait until the pending documents arrive after which they will ask for both passports to stamp Visa.
sadly there has been problem and spouse who was derivative does not want to travel and they are separated while waiting for us embassy to ask for passports

The thing is when embassy asks for passport only he will be able to send it to them as spouse has left with the passport. The question is that will embassy give visa to him even though he is principal applicant and interview was with both of them in first place

Well, if he is the principal applicant then he is entitled to his visa. He may need to explain why he's asking for his visa by himself, by I don't think they would care, if he is the principal then he's OK.

Good luck

thank you barbara

he was worried that he would have to provide separation evidence as there is no divorce yet

just one question if both were to get visas can they travel separately or must they travel together at same time.

because my friend is still trying to reconcile and if there is remote chance it works out then they may travel separately

I hope so too that they will reconcile. The can either travel together or the principal winner must travel first.
