as a GC holder, I know I can't vote. However, is it legal for me to make political contribution?

How about people with GC pending?

without GC nothing you can do!, if holding GC
you might can give/collect money for other people's voting ... except to veto yourself... check with lawyers for more details...

Current laws would most likely prevent the political parties and candidates from taking your money.....rationale behind it is that they do not want the elected officials to be influenced to make decisions that would be most beneficial to foreign nations.....it is assumed that if you contribute, you have some influence and until you become a US Citizen, your loyalties lie elsewhere.

You should be able to check with the office of the party/candidate ... they will know the answer.
