Not received Receipt/Notice letter ??

Hi

My wife and I applied for the citizenship on Nov 3rd. INS received
it on Nov 7. Both the checks (for my spouse and I) were cleared on
Nov 15.

My wife already received the notice/priority date letter on
23rd Nov. She also received the fingerprinting letter scheduled
for Dec 9th on the same day. The stamps on both the enveloped
clearly indicates that both the above letters were posted from
Laguna Niguel on 21st November.

But, I have neither received my notice/priority date letter nor
my fingerprint letter so far.

Since both of us are going to be out on Dec 9, what should
I do if I don't receive the PD/ND as well as fingerprint letter
before Wed/Thur next week. What if the notices are lost
for whatever reason ? (I already posted the question on
this alias as to if it is possible to go early/reschedule
the fingerprint appt. but no one has answered so far)

Since we both applied on the same day by sending both
our applications in the same envelope, I assume both
of us will get the same fingerprint date. How to reschedule
the fingerprint when you have not received your fingerprint
letter ?

Can anyone please help let me know if there is anything
that can be done to verify if indeed INS has send the letter
but I didn't receive it.

Thanks so much.

Called the INS customer service number today and after 52 minutes
of wait was able to talk with a nice immigration officer.

The officer asked me for my A# and told me that my notice were being
mailed today. Not sure whether it would mean both the receipt and fingerprint
notice or just the receipt notice was being mailed today.

Will update this once I receive the notice as to whether the fingerprint
date is same as my spouse or a different one.

It sounds funny that even though both my spouse and I send the
application in the same envelope, there would be a difference
of 6-9 days between the notice letters. Not sure if the fingerprint
dates are going to be same or not ???

Still not received any notice/FP letter from INS.

Searching this forum, found out that one can find the case number
using the cashed check.

I was able to verify the same using my spouse's receipt letter and her
cashed check. Both the WSC numbers listed on the receipt letter
match the one written on the cashed check. (basically add WSC*00)
to the number written on the cashed check - which gives you
the 13 digit case number)

I tried to verify the same for my case but the online web site is unable
to find the status. Seems like the WSC number is correct since it is
incremented by 1 in my case. (we both mailed the applications together
in the same envelope).

I am worried now since the online website is also not being able to
say anything on my case status. Or is this normal for the website to
not show the status even though they would have send me the notice/receipt
letter.

Any ideas folks ???

Thanks so much..
