Not Married and consequences filing I-485 as single

Can any one let me know the consequences filing I-485 as single and later when can I add my wife after I get married.

You can add your wife latest in the 485 stage. ( say about 2 months before you expect approval). This is assuming you are on H1 status at that time so that your wife can get H4.
You can also delay filing 485 after 140 is approved ( I don\'t know how long you can delay though).
