Hi, My name is Ellwyn. I met my wife in india, she is caucasian from the US. She was working in India when we met and we were working for the same company and got married in aug 2006. we came to the US in nov 2006. All my paper work was done and received on time till it came to my I-751. We first sent all documents to vermont in aug 2008. they called me for fingerprinting(biometrics) in sep 2008. I went to the USCIS office in nov and got a year's extension . They again sent be a letter stating that further information was required in june of 2009. I sent them the information, but this time to CALIFORNIA.
On calling USCIS they say my case is transferred to a adjudicating officer but after that now again this month i have received a letter asking to send further request for evidence. I did however get another year's extension stamped on my passport. i have moved 3 times in the last 2 years as we are back in school. Could this be a reason they have my paperwork on hold? IF not what other reason could it be, I have submitted all paperwork possible both time with photos and bills and bank a/c info ( anything with both our names on it, which is pretty much all bills and a/c's.

I technically can apply for citizenship at this point since it has been 3 years.

Need Help any advice in reg to this.

Sometimes the hold is due to information USCIS received related to you guys. They further inquire about that information and might end up referring it to FDNS.

Information they have can

1) If your wife or you applied for driver licence or ID at a different adrerss than where you oth live example she might have her ID at her parents address or somewhere else.
2) Address used at Gov't agencies like health related ot any where else.

Above are the things whihc i personally heard from an FDNS agent.

Make sure you always update your address with INS too because if they mailed you something and gave you time to respond then you dont then you can be in trouble.

Make sure you follow up.

Good Luck

These are just speculations and may not apply to your case.
