Non-USCIS fillable forms

The fillable forms in the AOS Interview Timeline Thread are awesome, but now I realized that they are slightly different from the USCIS forms in font or size.
I read on the USCIS website that they might not accept a form that is different in style of type or size:
http://uscis.gov/lpBin/lpext.dll/in...mplates&fn=document-frame.htm#slb-8cfrsec2994

Has anyone successfully used those non-USCIS fillable forms or is it more advisable to stick to the USCIS forms?

why risk it? As we all know, uscis does keep changing the forms and if you think they are not the same style then use the ones on uscis website. Most of the family related forms (485, 131, 765...except 130) are fillable forms on uscis.gov
all the best!

The forms linked on the timeline table are from a third party site and are not endorsed by USCIS. You should use them at your own risk.

These fillable forms have been around for a while and some sites charge the users a small fee for downloading these forms. The problem is these sites do not update their fillable versions quickly when USCIS floats a newer version of their forms. Usually takes them a while to update their fillable versions. Im sure a lot of people here have used these forms without a problem as i havent heard anyone complain. As i said, use at your own risk. :)

ageorge is right. Forms on the USCIS website (except I-130) are fillable, so it is better to use them.

I used these forms... They are usually updated and accurate:

However, be very careful if you are typing these forms. You are more likely to make a mistake typing then if you fill them in by hand. I made a single typo and it cost me another filing fee because USCIS refused to allow me to just correct it.

Wow, that sucks. Thanks for the advice though, I'm gonna triplecheck my forms now!!
The website you mentioned are the forms I was talking about. They are updated, but sometimes the font is different. I wasn't sure if USCIS would accept those, but I guess they do, since you said you used them.
I think I will still use the USCIS ones, though.

Anyway, thanks for tip!

Yes I've used the same site, thanks to Anahit who posted the link a while ago in the Citizenship forum.

I've never compared the forms with the ones from USCIS site, I hope they are the same

I'm pretty sure that they are alright. They surely are the updated ones. The difference I saw was the font (I-765; I-864). The I-130 looks almost exactly the same, the text just starts a little lower.
My husband read about the requirements for the forms on the USCIS website and now he insists that I use their forms only.
But apparently lots of people use the fillable forms in the thread and it worked just fine.
Sorry I made you worry about this, I think as long as they are as current as the USCIS ones (and they are), they will accept it. :)
