Is it a good idea to go for NON RIR in the virginia region. What wud be the approximate duration to get the labor-state level aprroved?

Re: non-rir in Virginia

You are not going to believe it, we going to see non-RIR LCs backed up in Virginia region, heavily. Right now they are processing 4/25//2001 or 4/26//2001 applications and as 245(i) cases are filed heavily on Apr 26,27 and 30th. It may take 6-12 months to get over Apr'01 - Thats what it took for RIR it-self. Then onwards its going to be better than month-to-month processing. My suggestion: if you have chance to file RIR, or file from some other center where the processing is beyond Apr'01, you better do that.

Good Luck.

Thanks sanga for ur prompt reply. So if i apply for labor now, it will take year and a half i guess? i have an option to apply in detroit but it also seems to be in a similar stage. Is it true that recently many companies, especially consulting ones RIR are gettin rejected? that was 1 reason i thought of goin for non-rir. hope to see ur reply.
