Non paid vacation on H1

I am planning on taking a vacation to go to India for about 4 months due to personal reasons for which the company is also agreeing on giving me a nonpaid vacation.Will I have problems at the immigration while entering the country.How long a vacation out of the country is acceptable on H1.Are there any limits for it.

I dont think there is any limit to it as long as the visa stamp on the passport is valid and you have a valid H1B approval notice with I94 card then you are in good shape. While coming back just have a copy of employment letter to be on the safer side. At immigration they mostly care for visa stamp and I94
