(Non-immigration) Visitor visa: question about sponsor documents

I am sponsoring my parents and grand-mother (mom's mom - different last name than my parents) for a US trip. I have prepared all the documents mentioned as 'Sponsor Documents' at immihelp.com

Should I send separate copies of these sponsor docs (financial support letter, employment letter, paystubs, tax return, bank statements, passport copies etc.) for each visitor? Or one common set of documents (except affidavit of support) is enough?

Thanks for your replies!

>> it is better to have seprate affidavit for each one.
Seperate zerox copy of each document set for each one as it may happen that when they will go for visa abroad they may be called by seprate consular officer at the same time . If this situation arises then they can always say that one original set is with ....so and so application in that office itslef and then they can provide that persons token number .

Vidongre,

I recently sponsored for my parents and i send one set of documents for both of them. However i sent two employment letters, two bank letter as mentioned in Affidavit of Support instructions. My parents used drop box facility.

My friend sponsored for his parents and he also sent one set of documents for both of them. They went for personal interview.

IMHO, one family can go together to one Visa officer. I dont think they need to go to different counters.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys!

This is really helpful - 3 copies of tax returns and passport copies was getting a bit heavy.
