I got a letter from DMV yesterday indicating that DMV database shows that one of my details like DOB, SSN or first/last name does not match with the SSA database. (I did not understand why they are matching with SSA though). Asking me to contact SSA office and update them.
I went to SSA office and after cross-checking all the particulars, everything matches. But SSA refused to give a letter stating that there is no problem from there end.
Now the problem is that DMV is asking me to prove, why SSA and DMV details does not match. I do not have any clue what to do.
I will be visiting DMV soon since my driver's lic. expires this month.
But pretty sure that DMV is not going to renew my Dr. Lic. due to this pending concern.
Is there anyone in the same situation? Please advise.
This is somewhat urgent.

You can go to DMV with all your immi-related docs and ask them to match(along with your SSA card).They must have made a typo somewhere in their DB.
Tell them its their issue and they should get it resolved.If they stress, you can ask them a letter stating that your DMV records are so and so and do not match with SSA records.
Then you can writea correspondence to SSA with a copy of that letter
