(Non-Immi) Is Tampa FL good to take a job?

I am having a job offer from Tampa, FL for 100+K.
Is it worth moving to Tampa? I am living in Chicago area now and make about the same.

Can you suggest me the right forum?

I am not really a Chicago guy. It is just a base and I am always on the road going to different clients.

Now I am looking for non-travel job and trying to find out whether Tampa is a good place to move and buy a house.

Anymore inputs are highly appreciable.
 
It is very good place to live. You have everything, nice weather, nice beaches, good restaurents, nice people etc. Home prices are cheaper compare to Chicago. Lot of new developments with nice houses.
 
100K is a VERY good money for Tampa. Way better than the same money in Chicago.
You can buy a nice 1600-2000 sq.ft. house here in a good area for under 200K.
