non-concurrent filing of I-485

I have my I-140 pending at Texas Service center. I need to file I-485 right away, for some reasons. where should I send it - to Nebraska or Texas? If I send it to Nebraska, is it posible that my pending I-140 might also thus be trasferred to Nebraska (I live in California), which is not what I would like because they have much longer processing dates for I-140.

I suppose you filed I-140 to TSC because you fall under that region. If that's the case, I-485 should be at TSC as well. This is called semi-concurrent. You would attach I-140 receipt with it.

Are you planning to apply EAD and AP? I would do it. Now they have started PPP at TSC. By applying EAD and AP, I-140 might be adjudicated sooner because they would try to adjudicate EAD and AP sooner and they'll come across your pending I-140.

Just something to consider... Let us know....

In my case, filing for both EAD and AP hasn't helped speed up 140 approval. We filed concurrently under EB2 on Jan 4, 2008, got all receipts back, then both EAD and AP shortly after. We did fingerprinting and all that, but still no word about 140. It's been 4 months. According to the website TSC is still processing case before July 29, 2007. I should have done premium processing I guess.

That's interesting. I'm not sure when was PPP implemented at TSC. It might be after your case. I saw a case on another forum who applied in March 2008 and just got I 140/485 approved and got EAD and AP rejected the same day.

Wrong info - the criteria for selecting the service center for I-140 and I-485 are different. Moreover, I-140 premium processing is suspended as of today.

Why would AP and EAD will impact the I-140 processing? They are related to I-485 only.

What's wrong here.. enlighten us please.... I have seen the case... do you know what PPP is?

I'm not talking about I-140 premium processing... which is allowed in limited cases.
