Non availability cert

I had a question regarding the Non availability certificate. I do not have a birth certificate and the Muncipal office in Bombay too do not have it. So my father asked them to give a Non availability cert. But they said they have never heard of anything like this.

Any one from Bombay was in the same situation, please help.

Did anyone get a non availability cert from Bombay. Please reply

I am not from bombay, but from India.

This is like that. When you ask for Birth certificate copy, they search the documents and send a reply that your records are not in the office. This is Non availability certificate.

So and so X person birth certificate is not recorded in this office like that the municipal office should provide you. They have to say that they serached their records and not found.

There is nothing called non availability certificate. You can ask them to issue a simple letter saying that they searched for your birth records in their record books and could not locate.
