NOID on I485..HELP!!

ok, more mystery..last week I was told all background checks are clear all we need is a 2nd FP since 1st one expired in May. So 2nd FP was requested for me. I was told to wait for 30 days. I saw LUDs on my approved 140 and 131 from 2005 no lud on newer 131.
I called today to follow up on FP notice, now the IO (was polite) says NOID :mad: was sent yesterday... At first she couldnt find my case, too many #s in my receipt number..
So I went to check the status online- there is an LUD on my 485 with todays date on it..I dont know what it could be. I already had one for legal status early on..

anyone had similar experience? (sorry for the double post)

Please help..

What does the online message say ? Do you have any thing like document has been mailed. ??

araj_98 , don't worry. I also received NOID without change in online message. NOID is for medical exam. While filling my i-485 i asked doctor to directly go for x-ray and skip the TB skin test to save time. looks like TSC started issuing NOID or RFE for skin test.

phew...that ain't bad....good luck araj_98. May be you are closer to approval..albeit this momentary uncertainty.

Thanks for supporting words no_time_for_gc. I just checked my copy of medical exam. The doc did xray not the skin test...

Hopefully they are working on the case actively. I still have FP2 to do before I can expect an approval..

Araj....Just try to send out the RFE requestes as quick as possible, dont miss the boat....

Pd 4/2003

Guys,

Sorry to put up a question like this but I really want to know the way that they process the 485 applications, I mean they go by PD or the ND of the 485 application.

My pd is 4/2003 and the ND of the 485 is 5/23/2007

I called them up last week to get all receipt numbers 131,765 & 485. Got all these numbers over the phone. They asked for my A# and I didn't have that at that time, but the guy was able to get the numbers using my name and date of birth.

My 131 & 765 is approved but I just need to know whether I should call them to inquire about my 485.

Please let me know. Thanks.
 
you should call..

MADNY, My understanding is they go by Receipt Date. Do follow up on your application. I didnt know that my FPs were expired and my NC was cleared until I spoke to TSC and InfoPass Immigration Officer.. you may not get accurate/consistent information every time you speak to them but you will definitely know the status in general..

update

ok, I spoke to TSC IO this morning (she was helpful and polite). She said my FP2 is scheduled for 08/07/07. I should expect the notice in next few days, it was sent on 07/23/07. This is apart from RFE that was sent out on 07/24/07. Note that she said RFE NOT "NOID", which contradicts with what I was told yesterday..:confused:. I am happy to see that they are working on my case..I will know more after I receive the notice
 
update on my case..

Received NOID today. Its dated 07/25. Its on TB Skin test. So I will get it done next week..
 
guys, I responded to NOID on 8/8, it reached TSC on 8/10 (per FedEx tracking).

NOID was sent out to me on 7/25 so I have until 8/25 to respond by..today is 8/15..I have only 10 days left.

I still dont see any update on my case..should I be worried? Its a NOID not a RFE..
