Hi everyone,
I hope I will be able to get wise suggestions from this forum, I desperately need some...
6 months ago my lawyer filed an EB2- i140 based on NIW for me. Little did I know that she was actually applying based on 'exceptional ability'
2 days ago I received a Notice of Intention for Denial letter from USCIS! Stating that
"at issue is whether your contributions to the field are such unusual that you qualify as an alien of exceptional ability"
Seems like they didn't like my recommendation letters, and claim that these letters are mostly written by advisors, colleagues or collaborators and do not show the wide effect of my work.
They only gave me 30 days to reply, merry christmas to me! I am soo depressed and don't know how to proceed, I am even thinking of switching lawyers at this time since I am mad at my lawyer for not making a solid case for me in the beginning.
Please advise, did this happen to any of you? How should I proceed? I never felt this lost in my life and I am a scientist!!
