NOF from DOL

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for DOL to issue a NOF when your PD becomes current. As in my case DOL said (when asked by lawyer) to expect a NOF soon. My question is how soon is soon.

If any one has experience from DOL TX, that would be great.

Thanks for your input.

Not Recommened

When I checked status at DOL, the rep. told me no has worked on my file but it says "NOT RECOMMENED".
My question is if no one worked on my file why is it saying "not recommened" and what is "not recommened".

If I rememebr right, I read somewhere in this forum that SESA passes the case to DOL with either "recommend" or "not recommened" comments or something like that. Does any one has any insight to this? thanks in advance.

Sounds like LPR. DOL will take more time to process it, also, there are higher chances DOL will issue NOF. Sorry.

I applogize for the dumb question. found out myself....

'Lawful permanent resident".

While reading about LPR, that says it for people whoes application is pending more than 3 yrs or more which is not my case.

SESA approval date is 4th Oct 2002 and
DOL acceptance date is 9th Oct 2002.

Saxena,

When case is LRP-ed, what happens is that SESA sends it to DOL with a note - RECCOMENDED, meaning SESA officer finds the case "trouble" free.

Your original post:

Sounds like a case that was not LRP. Again, I said it "sounds" like one. To be sure, you gotta ask them :)

I am sorry but I am kind of conused with your reply. At one point you said, my application is not LRP because in my post I said "NOT recommended" but you still feel it is LRP?

on the other note:

Should I call the SESA or the DOL to ask. Do you think they will tell me as I being the beneficiary or do I have to ask my employer or the attorney to call on my behalf. What should my question be to them?

Saxena,

If case is considered worthy for Limited Review Process, SESA officer will send it to DOL as "RECOMMENDED", otherwise - "NOT RECOMENDED". I think, when you were told (in DOL) that your case is "NOT RECOMENDED", it means SESA did not approve it for LRP.

As for calling them, I dought they will even speak to you. Check with your lawyer, s/he should be able to send in a written request.
