Hello All,

F-1 Married to U.S Citizen. We are in LA. We mailed to Chicago our things and we got notices for I-765 and I-130 only. No notice for I-485.

Your comments and sharing of your experiences on this is highly appreciated. Is this normal? We had separate checks and envelope for each form (all mailed in one package).

Please let us know if we should follow up on this.

Thank you.

Filed everything on 28th of March of 2006.
Received Notices for I-130 & I-765 April 3rd 2006.
On both notices:
RD: March 29th, 2006
ND: March 31st, 2006

No word yet on the I-485. Perhaps it is coming in the mail today. I went online to check case status and changed the last digit on the Receipt Number and found an I-485 application with the same ND as my I-130 and I-765. Perhaps this is my I-485 that I didn't get the notice for yet.

IcMan,

Did you get the notice for I-485 yet? If yes, was the receipt no you arrived at after changing the last digit same as the one on NoA for 485? Just intrigued if this is happening with ev one  It happened in our case... the last digit on the actual notice was different from the one stamped at the back of the check.

Yes, we received the notice today in the mail. All notices originated from the same place on the same day. They all came from Chicago. We are not sure why the I-485 notice came two days later than the other two. All of them have the same ND. As for the last digit thing, I think you have miss-understood what I wrote. The first two notices had the same exact reciept number except for the last digit (2 and 3). We tried 4, 1, and 0 online to see if there is a I-485 case. We found one with the last digit being 0 with no case for the other two trials. Indeed, the notice we have received today had that number we have predicted.

Anyway, the reason for the delay is only explained by the not-so-perfect service of the USPS or by the fact that the I-485 was mailed later in the day of March 31.

Either way, we got what we expected and hoping to receive the finger print appointment letter soon.

I just want to correct myslef. The notices came from Kansas City, MO.

This is fairly strange. We live in LA, sent the things to Chicago, and got the notices from Kansas City.

What do you guys think of this? Any comments on this?
