No "Welcome" Notice After Approval Notice?

Hi everyone, I have an employment-based I-485 application at the NSC. On October 9, 2007 I got an email stating “Card production ordered”. One October 15, 2007 got another email (3 to be precise with the same message) stating “Approval notice sent”. Obviously I have not received either notice or the card yet.

I have read in several postings that you suppose to get a “Welcome” notice when you are approved. In my case I never received any welcome notice. Does this mean that I will get some approval notice that directs me to have an Infopass appointment, then the card will be ordered? Or I will simply get the card regardless I get the “welcome” email or not?

Thank you

First of all congratulations for getting your freedom !!!

You will get the card regarless of welcome email or not. Your I-485 is approved, you are a permanent resident, it is just the matter of time when you get your card in the mail (or your lawyer).

Would you mind sharing your PD, I-485 RD and EB category, and other such details?

Thanks

Approval notice is THE WELCOME Notice. At least this is what an officer told me at an Infopass appointment,

I got my approval notice and then the plastic card. No welcome notice.

Some people do get a welcome brochure ....but u can download it from the web...

The actual card and approval notice are the real deal

Thanks everyone. I received the actual card yesterday with the paper that holds the card or Form I-797D. It has been a 3 year journey for me.

Best of luck to you all!!!
