No status change message after FP

I appeared for FP appointment on 1/13/2006. There was LUD on the same day and a LUD on 1/14. After that there is no change in my status message.

I noticed that people in this forum found their status changed in about a week. I confirmed that FBI returned FP results same day and they were normal.

How long would it take for the status message to change? Also Is name check process mandatory for every applicant or do they select randomly ?

Status should change as soon as VSC receives your fingerprint results. It takes about 1-2 weeks.

BTW, How did you find from FBI that your file has come back immediately?

If your PD is current then it stuck in Name Check
If you are from Retrogressed country then it will stuck in Visa unavailable/retrogression
Thats what happening in USCIS, now-a-days.
