Hi Guys,

Did everyone know that If you dont have social security card or number Now onwards there is NO social security Card or number is required if you want to open an bank account in the US.

Is'nt thats a good news ? any opiniun,,,,, :D

No Bank asks for Social Security Card, but they do need Socail Security Number.

If you dont have SSN, you need to have TIN ( Tax Identification Number).

Without either of these, no one will open any account anywhere in US.

No SS number, No Tax ID...... Still Bank Account, Go and check your bank... They will difenately Open.... Dont Fear Go Now

I opened my bank account 5 years ago, didn't have SS, no drive licence, no tax id... still got it.... situation might changed since then, but I don't know

I think you must have either of them (SSN or TIN). As far as my knowledge without one of these you can not open account in US.

If the they do not need either of them, then I doubt that bank.

No..Nothing Wrong,...

You just need 2 forms of ID,
For my, I had my Indian Passport and My Indian Driving Licence...thats it..
and the bank was more gladly ready to open account..

Do you mind telling us which bank this is & where is it located ?

Most major banks (Wells Fargo, B of A, Citibank etc) need a SSN or ITIN

It would be good to know which bank this is :)
