No reply from FBI Name check....

Mr. Rajiv Khanna,

FBI name check seems to be a black box. Quite a few of us left our information on the FBI Name check voice mail box, but have not heard from FBI in return. Could you please suggest what should we do regarding FBI Name check.
 
One more question about it:
is it necessary for EVERYBODY to have name checked by FBI? if not, how do I know my name is being checked or not? I did call FBI and left message but not get reply.
 
I just called FBI name check number yesterday to know if my case is "Adjudication Ready" (FP and name check cleared).

However, I do not know at what point in the process USCIS requests FBI for name check. Is it on receipt of I-485 or at some other point? How do I know that a name check has been requested for my case?

Also how long does it take for them to respond back? Suppose, my name check has not been requested or if requested, it has not been cleared. In that case, will they call me back to inform the same. Or do they just call back only in successful cases?

I called the name check dept and left my info, they called me back almost two weeks later and told me the result.
they are being bombarded by inquiries these days, so just be pateint and wait, they will call you.
