No receipts for 485 and EAD

Hi,

Any one of you submitted your 485 in the middle of this Feb? My lawyer told me that INS's system had problems on generating official receipts for 485 and EAD at that time, thus he didn't receive official receipts for my 485 and EAD, and he siad it is IMPOSSIBLE to ask INS to re-generat my receipts now.

Does anyone of you hear about that? Will there be any problems in the future if I don't have the official receipts?

Have u receive a LIN for 485

Did the lawyer say what your LIN No is. If yes how did he/she manage to get wihout a receipt.

Yes. He DID give me my case#. I don't know how he got that. Have you ever use your official 485 receipt during the whole application process?
 
applied for EAD renewal but no receipt notice

Hi,
I think I am also in the same boat. we applied for EAD renewal for my wife in January but we haven't received recipt notice so far. INS encashed the check on Feb 7. My bank has sent me a copy of check (they do it every month). It has receipt number (LIN#) on it. I am tracking the status using it.

Same thing happened to me, I applied for EAD extension in the last week week of Nov2002, I never received Recipt for this, but EAD is approved in the last week of Feb.

It might be true that they had some problem during that time.

I did one thing I called INS arround last week of Dec, asked IIO why I have not received recipt for EAD application, then she looked into the system and said to me that we received your application, but she was wondered why I had not received recipt.
Then she gave me recipt number

You better call INS, if it is more than one month
