No receipt notice - what to do next

Hi everyone,

I have been reading this forum for past few weeks and this forum is filled with lot of information. Thanks for all the people who contribute and enrich the forum with their knowledge.

I sent my citizenzip application on 10/15/05 and Texas service center received it on 10/19/2005. I have still not received the receipt notice nor fingerprint notice. I have called the National Customer Service Call Center multiple times and all that I have gotten so far is the confirmation that application was received on 10/19/05. I was also given the receipt number. I took infopass and talked to a person at Atlanta office who said the file is still with TSC. I sent a written letter to TSC asking for the status about 3 weeks back, haven't heard anything from them yet.

I am at a loss now what to do next. I don't want to do anything drastic now since it is not yet even 3 months since I sent the application, but it sounds like too much time not to get any sort of communication. My wife applied around the same time, got receipt notice, fingerprint notice and fingerprinting was done couple of weeks back.

Appreciate your response and advise.

Get your Congressperson involved. Sometimes it helps. And keep bugging CIS with phone calls and letters.
 
I sent my application to Texas Service Center on 12/27/05, and check was cashed 12/30/2005. I've read that some people were getting their receipt notices fairly quickly, sometimes within ten days. I haven't heard anything yet. Keep me posted, since we sent our applications to the same center. I wish you all the best.
