Hi,
I filled my NIW (I-140, I-485, EAD & Advance Parole) on 11/14/06.
Till today, 12/12/06, I have not received a receipt notice.
What does it mean? What if the USCIS lost my application?
Thanks for the help.

Texas is better?

You think TSC is faster? or perhaps more chances regarding NIW?
I thought all NIW petitions are now decided at NSC.

All NIW are *sent* to NSC, that's true. But NSC splits its workload with TSC, so there is always a chance that your case could end up with TSC. Many believe that TSC is not as stringent as NSC (more likely to approve and less likely to issue RFEs), and thus prefer the TSC to NSC.

Regarding the receipt notice

Regarding the fact I haven't recevied a receipt for a month - is this common now at NSC? How can expedite EAD & AP?
Thanks.

I don't know if there is a way to expedite the EAD and AP. However, what you might want to do is check your bank and see if the checks you sent with your applications have been cashed. If you can see your cashed check online (or if you already have it returned to you with your bank statement), your receipt number (LINxxxxx) will be on the back. If it starts with LIN, it's in Nebraska, but if it's SRC, then it's in Texas. If your checks have not been cashed or you do not receive a notice within another week, you can try calling the national service center (1-800-375-5283)

Checks not cashed

Hi,
The checks haven't been cashed. I called USCIS call center, they have no record of the application. What can do? What if they lost it, am I entitled to anything?
thanks.

Did you track your package

Hi how did you send your application package to NSC. Regular USPS or Express mail or FEDEX. Cant you track whether it has reached NSC? If it has reached give some more time.

Sent viia FEDEX

I sent it Fedex. I have the name of the person who received it. How long should I wait? What are mu options?
Thanks.
