No receipt for I-485

To be the retrogression my lawyer filled for I-140 on Sept 27 but did not file I-485.

After lots of hassle on the last date Sept 29 lawyer helped file the I-485(biometrics not properly filled, last minute thing) by myself.

Now we have received the receipt of I-485 but not the I-140.

What should I assume....

What is the usual time frame of I-485 receipt?

Well, have they encashed the check?
If yes, just wait for few mor e days for receipt to come
also, since its october!!! little delay is expected!!!

You mean the other way around - right ?

485 receipts usually take about 2 weeks - in this case, it might be a little more backlogged as there would've been many folks like you who tried to beat the Oct 1 cut-off.
I would give it at least another 2 weeks before getting anxious.
