no receipt # for I-140

Hi,

My company has applied my I-140 in EB3 category. My attorney is refusing to give me the receipt # for the I-140. Is there any other way to find out the status of I-140 without the receipt # ?.

Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Hi,

I was in this position for a while, although for different reasons.

It may not be what you want to hear, but I was able to make absolutely no progress in tracking my I-140 application without the receipt number. It is what you need to access the AVM as well as the online status checker. My experience of calling the INS / BCIS is that without the receipt number you will get nowhere.

Why are they not letting you have the number, as I think you are going to have to work on pursuading them if you want to be able to track anything.
