No old passports

Hi,

I am applying for citizenship and will be filing the N-400. However, I do not have old copies of my passports, I only have my current passport. How is this going to effect me? I have also spent alot of time outside of America in my past, but for the most recent five years have really only been away from America for about 90 days in the past five years. Will my earlier long trips in the past hinder my application or are they only bothered about the past five years?

Your long trips outside of the 5 year period in consideration do not usually matter. However, once in a while the IO might want to review them if the trips came close to breaking your PR status, such as 1-2 years continuously.

If you have the passport for the 5 previous years, ideally that should be enough.
