My name is Ovi and I am looking for some insights. I have applied for Natralization on 4/22/2008 in Chicago and completed everything except the Oath Ceremony. Unfortunatelly I had to move to Dallas because of my job, and I could not make it to the appointmet set in Chicago. My interview was on the 5th of August and my Oath was scheduled for the 8th of August. I just did not have any time to arrage for the time off work. I wrote a letter to reschedule but they said since I live in Dallas now I have to take my oath here. I have done the address change and confirmed it changed correctly through an infopass appointment. I have not received any paperwork since August 22nd, since they said they will reschedule my oath ceremony. I have been to 4 infopass appointments and in each they said that the paperwork is at the Texas Service Center since September 20th 2008, the N400 is approved and just waiting for the paperwork to get sent from the Texas Service Center and I'll have an oath ceremony.
I have done a Service Request and received a letter that no decision has been made on the oath ceremony date. It has been so long that the people here in Dallas that applied after I tranfered are getting their ceremonies.
I also wrote to the Texas Senator John Cornyn who indicated that he will look into it.
I do not know what else to do, I am engoged to a girl in Romania and we have been waiting a very long time to start her finacee visa so we can finally be together. Is there any way to start her fiancee visa with just the N400 Approved?
Any ideas are much appreciated.
