No news about I-140

My I-140 was filed on 06/11/2003. I have not heard anything about it since then. My lawyer put in a status check last month but haven't heard anything back.
Also my I-485/EAD/AP was filed on 12/02/2003. I did not hear anything about it until April after which I put in a status inquiry. This probably resulted in a RFE in May asking for photos of the right size (which I am pretty I had sent the first time). Anyway I sent the photos and it reached then on 26th May and they updated the status accordingly on the 27th of May. The updated date changed again on 06/01/2004 but status did not change. I have not heard anything since.
There was another thread about people's I-140 pending since March '03. But not many people with their EADs pending for so long. Any ideas what's causing the delays in some cases while others are getting approved with the processing dates?

Its just a matter of luck and how the file has been piled and assigned to the concerned officers.. There are many in 2002 whose I140's have not been approved and at the same time, we have seen guys getting their 140's approved who have filed in February 2004..

So, we can do nothing about it. You can probably initiate a request to open your file with your attorney/company HR calling them.
