6+ month contract in Foster City for a Lead Front End Developer (see below). Candidates MUST BE LOCAL to the BAY AREA.....per the client. Good communication a must.
Key responsibilities include designing the front end solution using component-based approaches, development, documentation, and quality assurance of applications, working with product managers to define site functionality, navigation, interaction, site architecture scheme, data flow, and supporting user research and usability test plans.
Required skill sets:
* Skilled in developing web-based applications using technologies such as HTML, XHTML, XML, XSL,
style sheets, Javascript, DHTML, Flash, tag libraries, JSP, and JSP templates.
* Proficient at presenting work in an organized and articulate manner and be comfortable working in a
group environment and contributing in meetings with various departments.
* Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator are required, as is a firm understanding of production
within the design constraints of the web (including browser differences, HTML limitations, palette
issues, multi-lingual issues, performance issues, and file sizes.)
* Candidates must have a background or interest in user interface design or usability.
* At least 2 years of professional experience developing web applications with complex information architectures.
* Extensive understanding of user-centered information, interaction design methods, and Web technology.
