No immunization needed for MMR and Chicken Pox! I had these diseases!

I went to this doctor for the INS medical exam.
On my immunization record from my current doctor says for Varicella and Rubbella that I had these diseases. That means I don\'t need a vaccine bceause if you had them you are not going to get them again(the fact that you got them it\'s like getting a vaccine).
Therefore on my immunization record says only the month and year when I was ill.
This doctor is asking me either to take another blood test to check for this(extra $150) or to give him an immunization record with proper date(meaning to add a day to the month and year when I got the disease).

Is this making any sense to you?

yeah....I think he is just trying to make some money out of you....

and your helpless situation......which is what this country is all about.....

but I guess you have no choice.....or you could try and go to another doctor.....

take care....

My wifte had mumps, chicken pox

and took the vacine for Ruebella when she was in high school. It was a school requirement for all the girls to take the proper vacine before graduate from high school. (6 years ago) But the doctor gave her MMR too.

It is a mix of stupidity and taking advantage of our situation

Otherwise how can explain the fact that almost no insurance company covers these medical exams for INS.
My insurance company told me today that they are not accepting claims for third party....which in this case is this INS approved doctor.

INS approved my ass..... this guy is so dirty and his office is a mess. I am sure that only a certain category of doctors become INS approved doctors.

This whole process is a mess....

ask your family doctor for blood test, then take record to the immigration physician

My medical insurance covered the blood test. It only cost me $10 copay.
