No H1b stamping for a landed immigrant. But can I come back to US ?

I got my H1b from H4. I am now about to get LP in Canada. I am basically from India and I am told that I can\'t get my H1b stamped at canada anymore. In such a case if I go to canada after my LP and want to return in a week to continue my job at USA, would I be allowed in the border without the H1b stamping ? What do they usually check at the US border for Landed Immigrants of Canada ? Any suggestions is appreciated.
 
keep you I-797 apporval , I-129 , LCA copies , pay stubs and empi letter.

you will get a I-94 with H1 status , otherwise if the officer is
too busy he will just tear off the I-94 from your I-797 notice
and attach it to your passport and in to the USA you come
