No Green card yet. Help needed

My case was approved on July5th and I got my passport stamped on 19th July. My wife got the plastic card just in 2weeks. I am still waiting. My lawyer contacted INS and foundout my photo, thumb print info are missing. Stamping was done for both of us on the same day by the same person. Any idea how I can update this missing info with INS? My lawyer wants me to wait. Of course he is busy.

a friend of mine has been waiting like this for more than a year.
what he does is go to local INS and give the fingerprints again and hope it reaches the right place at texas...he has tried it many times with no success...he does not know of anything else to do...
