I have not received FP notice yet either. Looks like the cases filed in / around May 2005 are stuck. I know of some people who have filed in July and have recieved FP notice. Also at some point in time they started letting people call a # to schedule the appointment for FP. However we are stuck. Don't know what is going on. May guys, if you receive FP notice, please post the details here. Thx,

I also havent received the FP notice yet, although most of the people who filed in sept. 2005 at NSC, have received notices.

Can I ask which part of US u r in (since it might be region specific, due to loads on local service center). I'm in seattle area.

Dear Whythisdelay,

I am in Tricities, WA which is about 200 miles from Seattle. You may be true (region specific). I can't even plan for our INDIA trip because of this unusual situation.
I don't know how to get out of this situation.

Hi Bhola.

I certainly can understand your situation (being in the same situation myself). Do you have your 485 receipt notice with you? Does it say anything that you can call some 800 no. and schedule a FP appt. yourself?

I read in some thread that sometime back, they used to send 485 receipt notice with 800 no. & you had to schedule appt. yourself.

I am in the Detroit area (Michigan). No FP/Biometrics notice yet. Cannot do much other than wait, I guess. :(
 
My I-485 receipt notice do not suggest to call NSC to schedule a appoint for FP. In fact, nothing mentioned about FP on the receipt notice. I called the 800 no and asked about the FP, they say it might take 6 months or more.

I don't know, should I trust them?

Online customer reps just give BS (my customer rep told me that I was calling TOO SOON about the FP :mad: )

My conservative attorney also told me to wait for at least 4 months.

So cant do much except for wait.

Update on FP notice

Hi everybody!

any updates on FP issue? I applied in June 2005 (CSC, EB2, current PD) and as of today have not received the FP request. Is there a way to ask USCIS what is going on?

No fingerprinting yet

bhola2005,

I filed I-485 in August 2005 (EB-2 NIW, NSC, worldwide), but I have not yet received a fingerprinting notice, either. I am going to call 1-800 number next Monday to ask about this, and will try to walk-in at the Helena office, Montana.

If you read recent thread started by usename "bjorn" with a title "approved, finally" under I-485 issues section, you will find some stories about a successful walk-in fingerprinting. Keep in touch!

I'm almost in the same boat as you are. My I-140 got approved but haven't received the FP notice and when I checked my I-485 receipt it was mentioned that I should call 800 number and take an appointment for FP notice.
I took an appointment and got my Code 3 Biometrics done today.

There was some confusion @ Newark as I didn't have the notice, but when I showed them the receipt they were okay.

So, check your receipts (in fact all my receipts had this statment:
If this your I-485 receipt please call 800 number and take an appointment for Biometrics. Please bring an ID and this receipt when you arrive for FP -- something like that).

I suggest you check your receipts and call 800 number to get your FP done.
 
No FP appnt yet:tsc

I am yet to get my FP notice (details below), worried if my appnt is lost in mail. Can anyone tell me if I can contact tsc by phone or email to know whats going on?
