no FP notice

Hi!
As I told you before, my husband filed I-140 and I-485 in January (RD 01.21, ND 01.22). He received RFE at the end of March, but no sign of FP notice. Is somebody else in a similar position? I'm asking because I've seen on this forum that most of the people that filed with CSC received their FP notice at most within 2 months after filing.

Additional info: I filed AOS on Feb, 4 th because I've been home and I couldn't file together with my husband. And guess what, they've just sent me the RD and ND. So, it seems that everything is absolutely random, since in my hubby's case it took 1 day to release the ND, whereas in my case it took... 2 months!

Don't sweat it about the lack of FP, that part of the AOS process is handled by contractors. There is no corelation to when the notice will come. Usually they generate it pretty quick since contractors like to get paid. But in case it slips through the cracks, when INS requires it and doesn't find it, will issue a RFE. FP doesn't take too much time these days to process. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Take it easy and forget that you have applied for 485, for some time. Some time next year you will hear more from INS.

Talking of correlations I feel that there is none between contractors getting paid and their doing the work....:D . I have heard of advance payments based on projected amount of work...

However I haven't received I-485 and EAD recipt notice... :(
My lawyer checked and said they didn't send out recipt notice
for that time of period....So I was wondering if you got
the recipe notice for AOS and EAD already?

PS: I checked other WAC number close to mine....they didn't get
FP notice either, even we filed at the same day. Probsbly pretty random...

fp is valid for 12/15 months (varies depending on the lawyer/expert that you talk to, the time of day etc). if you applied this year, JIT is well over 15 months away. if anything you should rejoice and pity the poor folks that have to do it twice.

140_takes_4ever: what can I say more than :-). I can't forget about the I-485 until my husband's I-140 gets approved (if it hopefully gets).

yes2003: strange things happen at BCIS. AS I wrote before, I recevied all the receipt notices on April 3rd. Look up to my second post.

Finally got my notice for FP, scheduled for June 6, 2003.

Guess i will have to renew my EAD since GC will surely not be approved by Sep. 2003.
