Looking for some advice here.
Called up CSC two weeks back. Told me that they are only processing 01/01/2001 at present so I should wait. Going by all the posts here that is obviously incorrect. Spoke to lawyer... says he has faxed numerous times and has no clue what is going on either.

What should I do? If I send a fax, what should I write given that the IIO I spoke to already told me that officially they are not supposed to be looking into my case yet.

Pls help ... Am getting quite frustated

Mukulko: go down to the local INS in person!

I was in the same satuation like you.
Please read my post for K Li acoust "Desperately need advice" 3/14/02 1:19am.

It may work for you.

Good luck!

Which office ?

Situation\'s a bit complicated for me. I live in Boston amd on project in Detroit and company is headquartered in California. Which office should I visit now, Boston, Detroit or San Jose. Detroit is the most convenient. If necessary can go to Boston or San Jose as well.

No Title

Also, Please advise on an answer if they tell me to wait again and point to the officially published date of 01/01/2001.

Thanks a lot for all your help.

Mukulko: the JIT date 01/01/2001 is for case adjudication, not for the FP

If the I-485 application has been pending more than
120 days, and not receive the FP notice yet, you
can call or send fax inquiry to ask the FP appointment
notice. It is better to send the Level 2 inquiry form
to CSC, usually you will get their response within 2 weeks,
since you did not get any response for the Level 1 fax inquiry.

Good luck,

Acoust:What does the JIT date mean then ?

Does the JIT date then mean that they will do all my prelim work like FP etc. before the date and only adjudicate or give an approval once they reach my notice date.
Pardon my ignorance, I really should have been more involved right from the beginning instead of panicking at this point.

mukulko: JIT date means that

if your case has been pending beyond JIT processing time
frame, I may call and fax inquiry to INS to check the status
of your case, and they should answer your inquiry.
Right now the most important thing is to get your FP done
as soon as possible. FP done will speed up the process of
adjudication.
